Tanks for (Some) Memories

Got memory?  Got too much?  Got too many kinds?

Recent research predicts that memory cards, those ubiquitous little repositories of our photographic memories, music selections, and contact records, will enjoy an increase in sales over the next few years, to a projected 315 million units by 2007.

According to research firm IDC, Secure Digital and miniSD cards will comprise more than half the market in 2007, followed by the popular “Memory Stick” formats.  CompactFlash, the leader in the previous decade, will slide in sales, and Smart-Media will virtually disappear.
