The North San Diego County Association Advisory Committee has reviewed the policies and procedures for granting shadow zip code variances. After careful consideration, it is their decision to allow variances ONLY where the U.S. Postal Service has introduced a new zip code for a period of up to one year.*** The Committee is confident this change will help ensure the data presented to clients as well as MLS members is true and accurate. By maintaining the integrity of the data, the MLS remains one of the most reliable tools at your fingertips. ***Those listings that currently have been granted a shadow zip code variance will remain in the system until the listing expires and will not be rescinded. If a listing has been entered in the incorrect zip code the listing broker will be responsible for the accuracy of information and may be subject to fines and penalties outlined in the Sandicor Citation Schedule
