Auction proceeds are being donated to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego and Community Resource Center.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization that has been assisting families and children for 50 years. Many of the children served by the organization come from single-parent and low-income households, or from a family where a parent has been deployed, or has been incarcerated. Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteer mentors. The organization operates under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life and the organization offers six programs for children.
Community Resource Center was founded in 1979 and serves residents throughout San Diego County. The non-profit organization is dedicated to helping women and children, individuals and families live safe, self-sufficient lives by providing critical assistance in the areas of domestic violence services, food programs, and emergency and transitional housing assistance. CRC touches the lives of over 7,500 individuals a year. The goal of the program is to promote self sufficiency using an outcome based model to a safe, healthy, and productive life.
